The babyballet syllabus is an award-winning international UK non-traditional preschool ballet syllabus with a non-competitive approach to preschool ballet basics, and is much more than a dance class with 16 years of research into early learning dance education.
The same syllabus is currently taught in over a hundred babyballets in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and now Papua New Guinea. The ballet class consists of at least 9 to 14 different creative exercises immersed into a 45 minute class.
Children's learning also includes counting, colour, posture, socialising, discipline, confidence etc.
Quality props are used in class.

Our classes provide the opportunity for babies and young children to learn to dance and develop key life skills in a healthy, sociable, caring and safe environment. babyballet® is so much more than just a dance class.
New students are welcome to attend their first class trial before committing to a term.
Due to currency exchange rates for AUD babyballet License fees and quality studio hire costs, as well as sourcing quality props from Australia etc, the cost of bringing babyballet to Papua New Guinea is dear, however the unique experience is well worth the investment into childrens creative education and personal development etc.
Any classes children miss during the week can be made up at any other class during the week at other locations, so they never have to miss a class!

Miss Meriba-May Igara has a passion for dance and creativity!
Although a qualified lawyer by profession in Sydney, Australia 2012, she has been dancing since she was 3 years of age.

8 year background in Royal Academy of Dance international examined ballet syllabus from Siale Dance School, Port Moresby.

Qualified Zumba instructor, Zumba Kids instructor.

10+years Professional dancer/instructor - Polynesian Hawaiian, Tahitian dance genres and Latin Fusion in Sydney, Australia.

She led the PNG National Performing Arts Troupe to the World Expo Dubai in March 2022 in PNG traditional/contemporary dance after her dance group 'Bilas' won the national contemporary dance competition in 2021 held by PNG Tourism Promotion Authority and National Cultural Commission.

She has been the official choreographer for Miss Pacific (PNG) Leoshina Kariha. Miss Pacific Island Pageant PNG in 2019/23, Miss Pacific Islands Regional Pageant 2019.
